The Danger I Faced in the Sundarbans
Last year we had a tour to the Sundarbans. It was just 3:15 when we reached Katka. Under a forest guide and a coast guard we started going down to the deep forest. I was so beguiled with the wonderful green of the Sundarbans that even I forgot to follow our teammates. But when I came into sense, I felt uneasy this place. I found nobody there. I was looking for my teammates but found none. The place seemed to me very strange and dark as the plants gathered. It seemed to me night. Suddenly, a strange voice came to me. I was shivering at that sound. The sound was wholly unknown to me. The sound came towards me slowly.
At that time I thought that sound would be of a strange beast. So I was trying to climb up a tree but unfortunately the tree broke down. I was shocked very much at that. Then I quickly tried to climb up another tree. I was slipping down again and again. After much trying I succeeded. From the tree I saw some beasts coming towards me with that strange voice. I was worried if they could break the tree and I would fall down. But I was lucky. I saw some monkeys coming to the tree and looking around.
After two or three minutes finding nothing they went away. I felt relieved. Then I got down from the tree. After walking for sometime I found a narrow way. I followed the way and found my teammates. When they found me, they became excited. They all embraced me. Finally we returned our home.

সুন্দরবনে আমি যে বিপদের সম্মুখীন হয়েছিলাম
গত বছর আমি সুন্দরবন ভ্রমণে গিয়েছিলাম। এটা ছিল তিনটা পনের মিনিট যখন আমরা কাটকায় পৌঁছেছিলাম। একজন ফরেস্ট গাইড এবং কোস্ট গার্ডের অধীনে আমরা গভীর বনে যেতে শুরু করলাম। আমি সুন্দরবনের বিস্ময়কর সবুজ দেখে এতো মুগ্ধ হয়েছিলাম যে আমি আমার দলের অন্যান্যদের অনুসরণ করতে ভুলে গিয়েছিলাম। কিন্তু যখন আমার জ্ঞান ফিরল, আমি ঐ স্থানে অস্বস্তি বোধ করলাম। আমি সেখানে কাউকে দেখলাম না। আমি আমার দলের লোকদের খোঁজ করলাম কিন্তু কাউকে পেলাম না। স্থানটি আমার কাছে অদ্ভুত এবং অন্ধকারাচ্ছন্ন মনে হয়েছিল যেহেতু গাছপালা একত্রে জড়ো হয়েছিল। আমার কাছে তখন রাত মনে হয়েছিল। হঠাৎ একটি অদ্ভুত স্বর শুনতে পেলাম। আমি শব্দ শুনে ভয়ে থর থর করে কাঁপতে লাগলাম। শব্দটি আমার কাছে সম্পূর্ণ অপরিচিত ছিল। শব্দটি ধীরে ধীরে আমার নিকট আসল।
ঐ সময় আমি মনে করলাম শব্দটি কোনো অদ্ভুত প্রাণীর হতে পারে। সুতরাং আমি গাছে চড়তে চেষ্টা করলাম কিন্তু দুর্ভাগ্যক্রমে গাছটি ভেঙে পড়ল। আমি এতে খুবই মর্মাহত হলাম। তারপর আমি অন্য একটি গাছে চড়ার জন্য তাড়াতাড়ি চেষ্টা করলাম। আমি বারবার পিছল খেয়ে পড়ে যেতে লাগলাম। অনেক চেষ্টার পর আমি সফল হলাম। গাছ থেকে আমি দেখলাম কিছু প্রাণী অদ্ভুত শব্দ করে আমার দিকে আসছে। আমি এই ভেবে উদ্বিগ্ন হলাম যে যদি তারা গাছটি ভেঙে ফেলতে পারে আমি নিচে পড়ে যাব। কিন্তু আমি সৌভাগ্যবান ছিলাম। আমি কিছু বানরকে গাছের নিকটে দেখলাম এবং চারদিকে তাকাতে দেখলাম।
দুই তিন মিনিট খোঁজার পর কিছু না পেয়ে তারা চলে গেল। আমি স্বস্তিবোধ করলাম। তারপর আমি গাছ থেকে নেমে আসলাম। কিছুক্ষণ হাঁটার পর আমি বাইরের দিকে একটি সংকীর্ণ পথ খুঁজে পেলাম। আমি পথ ধরে চলতে লাগলাম এবং আমার সাথীদের খুঁজে পেলাম। যখন তারা আমাকে দেখল, তারা উত্তেজিত হয়ে পড়ল। তারা সবাই আমাকে জড়িয়ে ধরল। অবশেষে আমরা আমাদের বাড়িতে ফিরে আসলাম।
