Your Hobby
Hobby is a pleasant pastime. It means a favourite occupation of a man. But it is not his main business. Gardening is my favourite hobby which gives me much pleasure at my leisure. I have a small garden in front of our house. I work there in the morning and evening. I have planted many kinds of flower plants in my garden. I also grow vegetables there. In the morning I water the plants, make the soil loose and weed out the grass of my garden. Every afternoon or evening, I spend half an hour in the garden. I take care of the plants, water them again and also repair the fence if damaged. The rose, the beli, the sheuli, the dahlia etc. grow in my garden. When the flowers bloom, my joys know no bounds. On holidays, I work longer in my garden. Sometimes my friends, neighbours and relatives visit my garden. They become very glad to see my garden and appreciate my work very much. Gardening gives me recreation and amusement. It makes me forget my worries and anxieties. It relieves me from my routine bound work. Thus I get much pleasure from my hobby which is the most valuable thing.
আমার শখ
শখ একটা মনোরম অবকাশ যাপন। এটা একজন লোকের প্রিয় পেশা। কিন্তু এটা তার প্রধান পেশা/ব্যবসা নয়। বাগান করা আমার প্রিয় শখ যা আমাকে অবসর সময়ে অনেক আনন্দ দেয়। আমাদের বাড়ির সামনে আমার একটি ছোট বাগান আছে। আমি সেখানে সকালে ও সন্ধ্যায় কাজ করি। আমি আমার বাগানে অনেক প্রকারের ফুলের চারা লাগিয়েছি। আমি সেখানে শাকসবজিও উৎপাদন করি। সকালে আমি চারাগুলোতে পানি দেই, মাটি আলগা করি এবং আমার বাগানের ঘাস তুলে ফেলি। প্রত্যেক অপরাহ্ন বা সন্ধ্যায় আমি আধাঘণ্টা বাগানে কাটাই। আমি চারাগুলোর যত্ন নেই, বারবার তাদের পানি দেই এবং ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ হলে বেড়া মেরামত করি। আমার বাগানে গোলাপ, বেলী, শিউলী, ডালিয়া প্রভৃতি ফুল ফোটে/জন্মে। ফুল ফোটলে আমার আনন্দের সীমা থাকে না। ছুটির দিনে আমি বাগানে অধিকতর সময় কাজ করি। মাঝে মাঝে আমার বন্ধুবান্ধব, প্রতিবেশী ও আত্মীয়রা আমার বাগান দেখতে আসে। তারা আমার বাগান দেখে খুব খুশি হয় এবং আমার কাজের খুব প্রশংসা করে। বাগান করা আমাকে বিনোদন ও আনন্দ দেয়। এটা আমার দুঃখ ও দুশ্চিন্তা ভুলিয়ে দেয়। এটা আমার ছক বাঁধা কাজ থেকে আমাকে প্রশান্তি দেয়। এভাবে আমি আমার শখ হতে আনন্দ পাই যা সবচেয়ে মূল্যবান জিনিস।
