Necessity of Learning English
The necessity of learning English is beyond description. English is that common language which is used and understood all over the world. It has become the second language of our country. We need to know the language for many reasons. We cannot communicate with the people of other countries in our mother tongue. We need a language that is common to the people of all the countries. When we go outside, we use English to communicate with the foreigners. We have to use English in business correspondence with foreigners. Nowadays businessmen have to maintain international relations. So they use English language. Next, we require English language for higher studies because books of higher classes are written in English. The language of computer, the present wonder of science, is English. It is not possible to operate computer without knowing English. Moreover, English is essential in Foreign Service. People who are engaged in serving international relations must know English. There are many other jobs like postman, airhostess, hotel receptionist etc. that essentially require English. In all, English language has become a very indispensable and unavoidable language for us. The simple ways to improve it are to provide the students with the standard English text of every class in each school and college.
ইংরেজি শেখার প্রয়োজনীয়তা
ইংরেজি শেখার প্রয়োজনীয়তা বর্ণনাতীত। ইংরেজি এমন একটি পরিচিত ভাষা যা সারা পৃথিবীব্যাপী ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটা আমাদের দেশের দ্বিতীয় ভাষা। বিভিন্ন কারণে আমাদের এই ভাষা জানা প্রয়োজন। আমরা ভিন্ন দেশের লোকদের সাথে আমাদের মাতৃভাষার মাধ্যমে যোগাযোগ করতে পারি না। আমাদের একটি ভাষা প্রয়োজন যা সকল দেশের লোকদের কাছে পরিচিত। যখন আমরা বাইরে যাই, আমরা প্রবাসীদের সাথে যোগাযোগ করতে ইংরেজি ব্যবহার করি। বিদেশীদের সাথে ব্যবসায়িক আলাপ করার জন্য আমাদের ইংরেজি ব্যবহার করতে হয়। আজকাল ব্যবসায়ীদের আন্তর্জাতিক সম্পর্ক বজায় রাখতে হয়। তাই তারা ইংরেজি ভাষা ব্যবহার করে। পরবর্তীতে উচ্চতর পড়াশোনার জন্য আমাদের ইংরেজি ভাষা প্রয়োজন কারণ উচ্চতর শ্রেণির বই ইংরেজিতে লেখা হয়। বর্তমান বিজ্ঞানের বিস্ময় কম্পিউটার এর ভাষা ইংরেজি। ইংরেজি জানা না থাকলে কম্পিউটার চালনা সম্ভব নয়। অধিকন্তু, বৈদেশিক চাকরির ক্ষেত্রে ইংরেজি প্রয়োজন। যেসব লোকজন আন্তর্জাতিক সম্পর্ক রক্ষায় কাজ করছে, তাদের অবশ্যই ইংরেজি জানতে হবে। ডাকপিয়ন, বিমানবালা, হোটেল অভ্যর্থনাকারী ইত্যাদি পেশার মত আরও অনেক পেশা রয়েছে যেসব ক্ষেত্রে ইংরেজি অবশ্যই প্রয়োজন। সর্বোপরি, ইংরেজি আমাদের জন্য একটি অবিচ্ছেদ্য ও অপরিহার্য ভাষা। এটির উন্নয়নের সাধারণ উপায় হল প্রতিটি স্কুল ও কলেজে প্রত্যেক শ্রেণির শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য মানসম্মত ইংরেজি পাঠ দান।
