Present age is the age of science and technology. Modern technology is a great blessing for present civilization. We see the use of modern technology in every sphere of our life. We can't think of our modern life without science and technology. Technology is being used in industry, communication, medical treatment, household activities etc. Use of technology has made our life easy and more comfortable. Modern technology has turned the world into a global village. With the blessings of mobile phone, internet, television, computer we can know in an instant what is happening in the farthest corner of the world. We can communicate with anyone living at any place in the world within seconds. Medical technology has advanced to a great extent. It is being used in diagnosing and curing very complex diseases. Sophisticated plane, rocket, ship etc. are the gifts of modern technology. Mills and factories are manufacturing various things very quickly. Mobile phone and computer are certainly most wonderful invention of science. Besides, communication between person to person, we can enjoy various things on these two wonderful scientific devices. Technology has made the impossible things possible. In a word, it is the life and soul of modern civilization.

বর্তমান যুগ বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তির যুগ। বর্তমান সভ্যতার জন্য আধুনিক প্রযুক্তি এক বিরাট আশীর্বাদ। আমাদের জীবনের প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রে আমরা আধুনিক প্রযুক্তির ব্যবহার লক্ষ করি। বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি ছাড়া আমরা আমাদের আধুনিক জীবন কল্পনা করতে পারিনা। শিল্প কারখানা, যোগাযোগ, চিকিৎসা সেবা, গৃহস্থালির কাজকর্ম ইত্যাদিতে প্রযুক্তির ব্যবহার হচ্ছে। প্রযুক্তির ব্যবহার আমাদের জীবনকে সহজ এবং আরো আরামদায়ক করেছে। আধুনিক প্রযুক্তি বিশ্বকে একটি বৈশ্বিক গ্রামে পরিণত করেছে। মোবাইল ফোন, ইন্টারনেট, টেলিভিশন, কম্পিউটারের সাহায্যে বিশ্বের অধিকতর দূরবর্তী স্থানে সংঘটিত ঘটনা মুহুর্তের মধ্যে আমরা জানতে পারি। বিশ্বের যেকোনো প্রান্তে বসবাসরত কারো সাথে আমরা সেকেন্ডের মধ্যে যোগাযোগ করতে পারি। আধুনিক প্রযুক্তির বিশাল অগ্রগতি হয়েছে। এটি খুবই জটিল রোগ নির্ণয় ও নিরাময়ে ব্যবহৃত হচ্ছে। উচ্চ প্রযুক্তির বিমান, রকেট, জাহাজ ইত্যাদি আধুনিক প্রযুক্তির উপহার। কল-কারখানা বিভিন্ন ধরনের জিনীসপত্র অতি দ্রুত উৎপাদন করছে। মোবাইল ফোন এবং কম্পিউটার অবশ্যই বিজ্ঞানের অতি আশ্চর্যজনক আবিষ্কার। এছাড়া ব্যাক্তি থেকে ব্যাক্তির যোগাযোগের ক্ষেত্রে বৈজ্ঞানিক এই দুটি চমৎকার ডিভাইসের মাধ্যমে আমরা বিভিন্ন জিনিস উপভোগ করতে পারি। প্রযুক্তি অসম্ভব জিনিসকে সম্ভব করেছে। এক কথায় এটি আধুনিক সভ্যতার প্রাণ।
