Globalization
At present, globalization is an often-heard term all over the world. Globalization is mainly connected with business, trade and international relations by creating a borderless world. The world has now become a global village. With the development of hi-tech communication, media and rapid transportation facilities, countries of the world become families of the global village. But, in the name of help and co-operation, the industrially developed capitalist countries are exploiting the poorer countries in many respects. They are superimposing globalization on the poorly educated and poorly trained labour force with poor system of developing countries. The exploited and impoverished workers of the developing countries are no match for a globally powerful capitalism. As a result, the gap between wealth and poverty is ever widening. Besides, under the influence of globalization, global cultures are steadily getting integrated with local cultures. It is feared that globalization will affect our culture adversely by exposing it to foreign and by intruding many foreign customs and beliefs in our culture. But, to make our world a better living place we must ensure solidarity, peace and justice all over the world. Globalization is a good concept which can bring happiness to every nation only when it can ensure equity everywhere.
বিশ্বায়ন
বর্তমানে বিশ্বায়ন হচ্ছে সারা বিশ্বে একটি পরিচিত শব্দ। বিশ্বায়ন প্রধানত ব্যবসা, বাণিজ্য ও আন্তর্জাতিক সম্পর্কের ক্ষেত্রে সীমাহীন বিশ্ব সৃষ্টি করার সাথে সম্পৃক্ত। পৃথিবীটা এখন বৈশ্বিক গ্রামে পরিণত হয়েছে। উচ্চপ্রযুক্তির যোগাযোগব্যবস্থা, মিডিয়ার উন্নয়ন ও দ্রুত পরিবহণ সুবিধার সাথে বিশ্বের দেশগুলো বৈশ্বিক গ্রামের পরিবারে পরিণত হয়। কিন্তু সাহায্য ও সহযোগিতার নামে শিল্পোন্নত পুঁজিবাদী দেশগুলো বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে দরিদ্র দেশগুলোকে শোষণ করছে। তারা উন্নয়নশীল দেশের নিম্নমানের ব্যবস্থাপনায় অল্প শিক্ষিত ও অল্প প্রশিক্ষণপ্রাপ্ত শ্রমিকদের উপর বিশ্বায়ন চাপিয়ে দিচ্ছে। উন্নয়নশীল দেশের শোষিত ও দরিদ্র শ্রমিকরা বিশ্বের শক্তিশালী পুঁজিবাদের সাথে তাল মিলাতে পারে না। ফলে, সম্পদ ও দরিদ্রতার মধ্যে ব্যবধানটা আরও বেশি হচ্ছে। তাছাড়া, বিশ্বায়নের প্রভাবে স্থানীয় সংস্কৃতি বিশ্ব সংস্কৃতির সাথে শক্তভাবে একীভূত হচ্ছে। ভয় হচ্ছে যে বিদেশি সংস্কৃতির সাথে মুখোমুখি হয়ে এবং অনেক বিদেশি রীতি-নীতি ও বিশ্বাসের সাথে অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ে আমাদের দেশীয় সংস্কৃতি মারাত্বকভাবে প্রভাবিত হবে। কিন্তু আমাদের বিশ্বকে বসবাসের জন্য ভালো জায়গা হিসেবে গড়ে তুলতে হলে সারা বিশ্বে আমাদেরকে একাত্ততা, শান্তি ও ন্যায় বিচারের নিশ্চয়তা সাধন করতে হবে। বিশ্বায়ন হচ্ছে একটা ভালো ধারণা যা প্রত্যেক জাতির জন্য শান্তি নিয়ে আসতে পারে যখন সর্বত্রই সমতা নিশ্চিত করা হবে।
