Changing Role of Women
No nation can achieve success without the participation of women in any society. Women can play a vital role in their family as well as in the society. They perform the duties of a mother, a wife, a home maker etc. It is a common belief that women should do these traditional duties. It is very encouraging to observe that women are no more confined within their homes. They are no more only mother and home maker, they are no more dependent on men. Their role is changing gradually. It is noticed with pleasure that the very old idea that women for birth and men for field is being changed. Women are getting educated. They have started earning and contributing to the family income. They are also participating in hard work, both official and unofficial. They are participating in armed forces. Women are becoming pilot, and they are also conducting business. So, the contribution of women is no more negligible. This situation makes us very hopeful about the future. So, our women should take proper education and acquire efficiency. People of every walk of life should come forward to help and encourage women to change their traditional roles and by doing so they can wipe out poverty and develop their own nation and fate.
নারীদের পরিবর্তনশীল ভূমিকা
কোনো জাতিই সমাজে নারীদের অংশগ্রহণ ব্যতীত সফলতা অর্জন করতে পারে না। নারীরা তাদের পরিবারে ও সমাজে প্রধান ভূমিকা পালন করে। তারা মা, স্ত্রী, গৃহকর্ত্রী ইত্যাদি হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করে। এটি একটি সাধারণ বিশ্বাস যে নারীদের এ সকল প্রথাগত দায়িত্বসমূহ পালন করা উচিত। এটি খুবই উৎসাহব্যঞ্জক যে নারীরা এখন আর তাদের গৃহে বন্দি নয়। তারা আর শুধুমাত্র মা এবং গৃহকর্ত্রী নয়, তারা আর পুরুষদের উপর নির্ভরশীল নয়। তাদের ভূমিকা ধীরে ধীরে পরিবর্তন হচ্ছে। এটি আনন্দের সহিত লক্ষণীয় যে মহিলারা শুধু বাচ্চা লালন/জন্মদান এবং পুরুষেরা শুধু মাঠে কাজ করার জন্য - সেই পুরাতন ধারণার পরিবর্তন হচ্ছে। নারীরা শিক্ষিত হচ্ছে। তারা আয় করা শুরু করেছে এবং পরিবারের আয়ে অবদান রাখছে। তারা দাপ্তরিক ও অদাপ্তরিক উভয় কঠিন কাজেও অংশগ্রহণ করছে। তারা সশস্ত্র বাহিনীতে অংশগ্রহণ করছে। নারীরা পাইলট হচ্ছে এবং তারা ব্যবসাও করছে। সুতরাং নারীদের অবদান অবহেলার যোগ্য নয়। এই পরিস্থিতি ভবিষ্যত সম্পর্কে আমাদের খুব আশাবাদী করছে। সুতরাং আমাদের নারীদের যথাযথ শিক্ষা নেওয়া ও দক্ষতা অর্জন করা উচিত। সকল স্তরের জনগণের নারীদের সাহায্যে এগিয়ে আসা এবং তাদের প্রথাগত ভূমিকা পরিবর্তনে উৎসাহিত করা উচিত যাতে তারা দারিদ্র্য দূর করে নিজেদের ও নিজ জাতির ভাগ্যের উন্নয়ন করতে পারে।
