Celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr
Eid-ul-Fitr is one of the two religious festivals of the Muslims. We eagerly await this day after having a fasting for thirty days. This day is celebrated with great religious gravity by the Muslims. However, I celebrated this day as other Muslims do. I got up very early in the morning, took my bath, dressed up wearing punjabi, pajama and tupi. The congregation being over I exchanged greetings with a lot of friends and near and dear ones. In the morning, I found my mother and sister busy with making loaf, shemai and jorda. In the morning, I distributed cash and dress among the poor class people. When I set out for the Eidgah, I discovered many old friends who were behind the curtain for a long time. We expressed our fellow feelings with one another. In that very day we arranged a grand feast to feed the poor people. It was an age old tradition of our family. After saying prayer I returned home. In the afternoon I joined my friends who arranged a reunion meeting. After the meeting we went to the nearby river and passed a few hours there. This is how I enjoyed the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
ঈদ-উল-ফিতর উদযাপন
ঈদ-উল ফিতর হচ্ছে মুসলিম ধর্মের দুটি ধর্মীয় উৎসবের মধ্যে অন্যতম একটি। ত্রিশ দিন রোজার পর আমরা এই দিনটির জন্য গভীর আগ্রহে অপেক্ষা করি। এই দিনটি মুসলমানরা যথাযথ ধর্মীয় ভাবগাম্ভীর্যের সাথে উদযাপন করে থাকে। যা হোক, অন্যান্য মুসলমানদের মতই আমি দিনটি উদযাপন করেছিলাম। আমি খুব সকাল সকাল ঘুম থেকে জেগে উঠেছিলাম, আমি গোসল করেছিলাম, পাজামা-পাঞ্জাবী ও টুপি পরিধান করেছিলাম। ঈদের জামাত শেষ হওয়ার পর আমি ঘনিষ্ঠ কিছু বন্ধু ও পরিচিত লোকদের সাথে শুভেচ্ছা বিনিময় করেছিলাম। সকালে আমি মা ও বোনকে পিঠা, সেমাই এবং জর্দ্দা বানাতে ব্যস্ত দেখেছিলাম। সকালে আমি গরিবদের মধ্যে টাকা ও বস্ত্রবিতরণ করেছিলাম। যখন আমি ঈদগাহের পথে যাত্রা করি, তখন অনেক পুরাতন বন্ধুকে দেখতে পাই যারা দীর্ঘদিন দূরে ছিল। আমরা একে অপরের সাথে ভাব বিনিময় করি। সেই দিনে দরিদ্রদেরকে খাওয়ানোর জন্য এক বিরাট খাবারের আয়োজন করেছিলাম। এটা ছিল আমাদের পরিবারে দীর্ঘদিনের ঐতিহ্য। প্রার্থনার শেষে আমি বাসায় ফিরে আসলাম। বিকেল বেলায় আমি আমার বন্ধুদের সাথে পুনর্মিলনী অনুষ্ঠানে যোগদান করেছিলাম। অনুষ্ঠান শেষে আমরা নিকটবর্তী নদীতে গিয়েছিলাম এবং কয়েক ঘণ্টা সেখানে অতিবাহিত করেছিলাম। এভাবে আমি ঈদ-উল ফিতর উপভোগ করেছিলাম।
