MY PARENTS

The name of my father is Muhammad Rafiqunabi Chowdhury and that of my mother is Umme Habiba Chowdhury. Both of them were born into aristocratic families having a sound academic background. My father is an MA in English and my mother is an MA in Economics. My father did his Bar at Law from Lincon's Inn and is still practising in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. My mother is a professor at the department of Economics, Dhaka University. Both of my parents are honest, patriotic and kind-hearted. My father is found very often to plead for the poor people. If anybody is unable to pay the fees of the case, he pays it. My parents are involved in social work. They try their level best to save the poor and tortured woman. My mother also is associated with a voluntary organization, the aim and mission of which is to protect the women who are tortured by their dowry-hunter husbands. They are very pious by nature and guide us in a proper way. Their activities remind one of the philosophy, Simple living and high thinking. They try to maintain integrity in all their activities. My mother looks after the entire family. By doing so, she often neglects her own comforts. She is happy enough to undergo troubles to any limit for the wellbeing of all of us. Both of them take special care of my health and education. I love them, from the core of, my heart. This is because they are my well-wishers in the true sense of the term.
