Tree Plantation
Nature is created by Allah and trees are one of them. Trees are men’s best friends because our lives depend on trees.They give us foods, fruits, shelter, shade, flowers, firewood, clothes, rubber, gums etc. Fruits are an essential source of food, vitamins and medicine. It keeps our body fit, active and disease less. Flowers refresh our mind. Various delicious foods are made by processing fruits.
Various medicines are made from various herbal trees and fruits. We get timber for making furniture, houses, boats, various vehicles etc. Papers, pencils, matches, packing materials are also made from soft wood. In case of ecological balance, the role of trees is great. At the time of making food from the sun-light, trees take/absorb carbon di-oxide and emit oxygen. We take this oxygen at the time of breathing.
Trees cause heavy rain which prevents air pollution. A country turns into/becomes a desert if it has no tree. Trees on the banks of rivers and sea-shores prevent soil-erosion. They make our cultivable lands fertile and save a country from droughts, floods, storms, cyclones etc.
Many poor and unconscious people cut down trees for money or for other necessities, but they do not plant much trees. So trees are destroyed gradually.
A country should have at least 25% forest lands for maintaining ecological balance. As our country has no sufficient forests, we should plant more trees.
There is a great benefit of tree plantation by the side of the roads. We all know that generally the lands of roadsides are not used. If trees are planted on roadsides, the passers-by and animals get shade, the planters get wood and fruits, the vehicles can play on the track etc.
The urban people suffer from air pollution and sound pollution. Moreover, there is shortage of oxygen, rain and shade in towns and cities. So the urban people need trees most. There are huge quantities of unused lands in the urban area where many trees can be planted.
