An application for setting up a debating club

Suppose, you are a student of Lake View College, Barisal and you don’t have a debating club in your college. Now, write an application to your Principal for his permission to set up a debating club in your college.

Subject: Prayer for setting up a debating club in our college.

Sir,

With due respect and humble submission I, on behalf of the students of your college, beg to draw your kind attention to the fact that we have been suffering much for want of a debating club. It will help us to expose our speaking skill and latent talent. With a view to participating in the Inter- college Debating Competition and TV Debating Competition, we have decided to set up/to organize a debating club in the college. Our English teacher Samiul Abedin has already expressed his interest to work as the director of the club.

 

I, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to set up a debating club in our college and oblige thereby.
